A closer look at the training, people and daily work behind the academy.
Inside VA · Introduction
More than the class on the timetable.
Inside VA shows what happens around the training: preparation, coaching, competition, recovery and the community that brings Luxembourg Gare and Strassen together.
New films will be added here over time, without turning this page into a crowded news feed.
Three parts of one method, on every mat at Luxembourg Gare and Strassen: the mindset, the technique and the test.
01 · Philosophy
Martial arts philosophy.
Jiu-jitsu shapes character before it shapes technique. On our mats you learn to win and lose with the same humility, to come back the day after a hard round, and to measure progress in months, not minutes.
Daily improvement, however small, is the whole method: show up, pay attention, help your partners grow.
02 · Technique
Technical study and application.
Every class moves from study to live application: drilling to build the movement, positional sparring to test it, full rounds to make it yours. The curriculum is the same one the Veras coaches use for their own competition preparation.
Along the way you build more than a guard: physical conditioning, emotional control under pressure, and the calm that comes from knowing you can defend yourself.
03 · Competition
Competition.
Competition is the honest test: a tournament, or simply the hardest round of the week. It pushes you out of your comfort zone, confronts the fear everyone feels, and builds the confidence that carries over far beyond the mats.
Competing is never mandatory at Veras Academy. Being challenged is.
